Description
Local contractor in need of Underground Pipe Layers. Long term project in East Amherst, NY. Duties will include the following:
- Dig trenches, lay concrete, and dig drainage ditches
- Operated trenching equipment
- Read prints
- Install, set/connect/seal & repair underground pipe for mains, sewer, storm drains.
- Operate hand and power tools, vibratory compactors, small hoist, and basic survey equipment
- Perform safety inspections of work areas
- Assist with the construction of pipe sites
- Understand and ensure the proper grades, fittings, etc. are used
- Clean feeder pipes
