Description

Industrial Manufacturing Facility has openings for electrical maintenance personnel.  3rd shift Monday - Friday, 11:00 pm to 7:30 am. Weekends as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Other duties may be assigned:

· Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
· Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
· Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
· Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
· Connects wire to motors, fixtures, and other electrical equipment, replaces switches and fuses, and splices wire and insulates wire with friction tape.
· Reads and understands blueprints and 1-line drawings.
· Cleans work area, tools, and equipment.

Not a electrical construction environment.  Will be working on electrical equipment associated with the building infrastructure (not manufacturing equipment).  Including but not limited to monthly PM checks, balers, light bulbs, switches, outlets, parking lights, sump pumps, overhead dock doors, etc..

Experience Required:  DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT MEET THESE REQUIREMENT: Must have industry standard minimum amount of verifiable 6 years of industrial experience or a Journeyman’s card to prove practice. A Master Electrician’s license is also permitted and/or any similar combination of education and trade-related work experience. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate.
 

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
